Against the world ETF
Over 21 years, from February 2006 to September 2026, the share did not clearly beat the world ETF once risk is accounted for. It earned more, but shaking 4.2 times harder: for the risk taken, the ETF paid better.
$10,000 placed at the end of February 2006 are worth today
| Crocs | $85,347 |
| World ETF | $54,771 |
| S&P 500 | $86,830 |
| Risk-free placement | $14,158 |
The risk
- Shaking:the share moves 4.2 times as much as the world ETF.
- Worst fall:-98 % between October 2007 and March 2009. $10,000 placed at the top fell to $159. The world ETF, at worst: -53 %. Back to its high in 143 months.
Crocs earned more than the world ETF since 2006
Value of $10,000 placed at the end of February 2006, dividends reinvested, in dollars
- Crocs: $85,347
- World ETF: $54,771
- S&P 500: $86,830
- Risk-free placement: $14,158
Share price without dividends; the world ETF and the index reinvest theirs. A dividend payer is therefore understated here.
Based on past performance. This is not a recommendation.
