Against the world ETF
Over 11 years, from April 2015 to September 2026, the share did not clearly beat the world ETF once risk is accounted for. It earned more, but shaking 2.1 times harder: for the risk taken, the ETF paid better.
$10,000 placed at the end of April 2015 are worth today
| GoDaddy | $38,097 |
| World ETF | $35,309 |
| S&P 500 | $44,203 |
| Risk-free placement | $12,781 |
The risk
- Shaking:the share moves 2.1 times as much as the world ETF.
- Worst fall:-65 % between January 2025 and June 2026. $10,000 placed at the top fell to $3,498. The world ETF, at worst: -34 %. The share has not returned to its high yet.
GoDaddy earned more than the world ETF since 2015
Value of $10,000 placed at the end of April 2015, dividends reinvested, in dollars
- GoDaddy: $38,097
- World ETF: $35,309
- S&P 500: $44,203
- Risk-free placement: $12,781
Share price without dividends; the world ETF and the index reinvest theirs. A dividend payer is therefore understated here.
